BIG ANIMALS SD "PEACE IN THE PARK" was created in response to the outcry from the community. Due to current changes in laws lowering sentencing for drug offenses reducing the charges from misdemeanors and felonies into minor infractions; parks in LMI and underserved communities are being overran by drug and gang activity almost naturally. We have been down this path before in California when CRACK and gangs first exploded on the scene. Back then the response was to demonize and criminalize those who had problems and needed help.

Today we have entered a new age and era of thought where society is looking to utilize more humane solutions when seeking to help those suffering from mental illnesses or other physical or personal problem preventing them from moving forward and succeeding in life.  With "PEACE IN THE PARK" we can have a direct impact on communities by bringing fun for families and resources directly into the communities having problems with drugs and gangs. BUT; we can't do this alone. This is an "ALL HANDS ON DECK" type of project and your help is needed.
